Tara and Jeremy, both of them Americans from New York or New Jersey, and Tara with origins from the Philippines, they wanted a relaxed but elegant wedding in an amazing venue.
For Tara was very important to have wedding in pastel colours but with some contrasting colours, therefore she chose to have many of her decoration in either Bordeaux or Navy blue, mixed with pastel colour flowers, soft pinks and succulent plants. Bordeaux and Navy blue are also the colours of Jeremy´s favourite American football team. To add a touch of elegance they chose to have gold and classic elements in their wedding such as the elegant golden Napoleon chairs, high golden chandeliers, etc.
The bridesmaids dresses were in bordeaux colour and the groomsmen and groom had navy suits with a bordeaux velvet bowtie.
The flowers were in light pink and pastel tones with a contrast of bordeaux colours and succulent plants.
The Chateau du Bois d´Arlon is located in the middle of a beautiful forest surrounded by high trees and nature, the trees were decorated with hanging jars and candles which gave a magical effect at night. During the day, the castle looked beautiful surrounded by white hortensias in the gardens.
A warm atmosphere was created at the dinner reception with hundreds of candles on the chandeliers, tea candles on top of mirrors to reflect the lights and lanterns. The names of the tables were cities were the couple had traveled in their 2 year stay in Luxembourg, for the couple it was an amazing experience to live abroad and adapt to a new culture. The bride collected postcards from each city they travelled and handwrite a message by herself on each postcard for each guest.
The guests from Tara and Jeremy´s wedding were mostly Americans or Philippine American, for the couple it was important to show their guests the European culture, the specially chose a beautiful Belgium castle to welcome their guests, and an exquisite French caterer so their guests could try the best European food
